Born and raised in Japan, Manami moved to Australia in 1987 and studied at the College of Make-up Technology. Manami was taught by, then later assisted, Richard Sharah the one responsibly for David Bowie’s 1970s glamour. In 1999 Manami moved to Paris to pursue her freelance career. Manami has collaborated with photographers such as Emma Summerton, Jan Welter, Jean-Francois Repage, Henry Roy, and Araki.
